Handcrafted, scratch built and readymade scale ship model of RMS Queen Mary
Queen Mary half model represents our unique custom made range at Premier Ship Models. This exceptional half model of RMS Queen Mary features a breathtaking length of almost 4 metres (13 feett)! This particular ship model was commissioned by an interior design company for a  new cruise liner and up till now, it is our longest ever half model we have built. This and other custom made models at Premier Ship Models are made by master craftsmen with great eye for the model design and its quality.
RMS Queen Mary half ship model is handcrafted from scratch, focusing on detail to capture the full authenticity of the original vessel. The model ship is crafted according to original plans and drawings. Queen Marry half model is a perfect example representing the expertise of model making of Premier Ship Models.
RMS Queen Mary was a famous ocean liner sailing primarily in the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967. She was built in Scotland along with the RMS Queen Elizabeth to become part of the Cunard Line. Her major sailing route was from Southampton to New York City. Queen Mary’s maiden voyage started in May of 1936 and after few months in service, she gained a  Blue Riband in August which is awarded to cruise liners crossing the Atlantic in record highest speed.
The outbreak of World War II resulted in  Queen Mary being transformed into a troopship which carried Allied soldiers. Queen Mary was refitted again to a passenger liner the year following the end of the war. Due to decreased profits of the Cunard Line, the RMS Queen Mary retired in October of 1967 after the last voyage from Southampton to Long Beach, California. Nowadays she serves as a tourist attraction in Long Beach and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
