Damen Shipyards of Galati, Romania built Fairplayer in 2008 for the owner, Kahn Scheepvaart. This ship sails under the Dutch flag and is known as a heavy lift offshore construction vessel. The ship is around 145 metres long, more than 26 wide and has a maximum speed of 19.4 knots. One of the main features of this vessel is the presence of 2 cranes with a capacity of 900 tonnes each and a radius of 35 meters each.
Fairplayer is a part of Jumbo Shipping Company fleet, participating in offshore subsea installation market. Fairplayer is one of the 12 heavy lift vessels designed to lift cargo from 500 to 1,800 tons. It is only one of two J-Class cargo ships equipped with DP2 system, enabling the ship to provide transport as well as offshore installation services.
