The San Felipe ship model was originally produced for Rich Creation International Limited of Hong Kong and is now currently displayed in the Hong Kong Museum, which opened in 2005. Providing out client with regular updates throughout the project, we incorporated the antique look they required, to fit in with the surroundings of the museum.
A 17th century Spanish ship, the San Felipe was armed with 108 cannons, which was launched during war against the British and French. She went on to be mainly used in carrying wealth from South America and the Caribbean to Spain. In 1705, San Felipe was sunk to the bottom of the ocean filled with rich treasures during an epic battle against the British.
The San Felipe proved to be popular due to its sculptured stern and a streamlined design which made the ship easier to manoeuvre in the sea. Using the highest quality materials our skilled artisans have produced this flawless replica ship model to elegantly incorporate excellent detail and features of the original.
